Basil has over two decades of business experience, including real estate marketing, leasing and activations, information technology, digital media production, hospitality, and event production.

In his role as Director of Hospitality for EXDO Group, Basil oversees and manages all aspects and day to day operations for all EXDO hospitality holdings.

In late 2019 Basil was tasked with leading the hospitality division, specifically, the EXDO Event Center and Tracks Nightclub. After thorough research of current market trends as well as how the division was currently operating he devised a plan to achieve better returns for the hospitality division. This plan took a three prong approach, reducing costs, forming strategic partnerships with the various liquor brands, and pivoting the business direction to be more music performance focused. The plan was put into play in early 2020 and proved to be viable, however, the global COVID pandemic hit just weeks after implementation. During the pandemic, and under strict governmental guidelines, the hospitality division pivoted into more of a restaurant model, partnering with the surrounding restaurants and providing an outdoor seating areas for drinks and food in addition to providing entertainment and socially distanced events. While the income stream was far less than before the pandemic, the hospitality division was able to minimize losses and stay viable as a business. During this time and with the blessing of Andrew Feinstein, Basil devised a plan to make some renovations on the EXDO Event Center and rebrand as ReelWorks, an homage to the building's previous owners of the property, who manufactured all the film reels during the golden age of Hollywood. The renovations  to the venue included enhancing the flow of the building for music concerts while still retaining the uniqueness and versatility of the space. When operations returned to normal after the pandemic, the original business plan resumed and ReelWorks has been successful ever since, and continues to grow as a world class music venue.
